McWay Falls is probably one of the most popular sights at Big Sur and it was definitely on our list. We headed to Julia
Pheiffer Beach which was the access point but found a crowd. We turned around. The thought of hiking with crowds detracted from the serenity we had found on our trip.
We lazily explored the road above the park and kept stopping and peering over the edge to see if we could see the falls. After 9 or 10 or so stops… we peeked over and gasped. There she was in all her golden glory. The sun was starting to set and the magic hour of soft golden light had just started. We had the view all to ourselves with only the sun setting to keep us company.

superb video.Fantastic.
