What do you get when you combine wanderlust with talent?  You get an artsy and whimsical video from two extraordinary artists who have just come back from Peru…also known as Llama Land.

They do a good job sharing their adventures.  I guarantee you haven’t seen a travel video like the likes of this before.  My favorite part starts around minute 5 when Adelaide goes from peeking down the side of a mountain to dancing with her fans.

Cabo San Lucas has an irresistable appeal for the upscale vacationer wanting to escape to a tranquil beach retreat.  I saw these beds from a balcony about half a mile away at Pueblo Bonito’s Sunset Beach.

I promptly decided this is where I’m going for my sunset walk.  The concierge promptly put me on a complimentary shuttle and 5 minutes later I was at the Pacifica Holistic Retreat and Spa.  It’s very peaceful here.   As I was walked to the beachfront, I learned it’s because there are no “bambinos”.  No Kids.

Oh Yeah!  Peace and quiet!

Here’s a picture of their beachside lounges.  They had maybe 7 or 8 of these on the sands.  There are two types of lounge beds.  There’s one that like a hammock – is suspended on ropes so you can sway to the breeze.  Or there’s the beds with the drapes so you can close out the rest of the world, except the one that faces the ocean… and relax to the sounds of the ocean.

I’m off to Rome… in a couple of weeks.  Rome… the capital of Italy with a history that spans over two and a half thousand years!

Rome.. just saying Rome.. gives me goose bumps.  Mental images bombard me.  I’ve been dreaming so many dreams.  Images of a courtyard.  I’m on the 4th floor.. the top floor…. overlooking the inner atrium.  It’s the golden hour and every thing is amber.  And there are flower boxes in the windows….. and clothelines with white shirts.  The wind is blowing.  I can smell the flowers.  Nearby I can hear the violinist playing for the tourists.  In this dream… I’m in Travastere… where we will be staying.

In another dream I’m in the Colosseum.  Constantine is in power and he’s having a parade.  A gladiator walks by.  He catches my eye… and comes over.  I can barely catch his name over the crowd.  His name starts with a J….and…Well I have an active dream imagination.

I’ve worked in travel 12 years now.   I have slaved hours and hours on my computer researching all the various things to do… and where to stay.  Wow – I didn’t know how many options there are.  I think there must be anywhere from 1600 to 2000 choices.   Who knows from the stats reported.  I’ve been on Trip Advisor to check every listing that looked appealing on Hotels.com, Booking.com, Venere.com, homesaway.com, vrbo.com…. among a few.  And trust me.  I’ve been on all the major ones.   I’ve research blogs.  I’ve been on Twitter.  I’ve touched all the options I could possibly find online.

Lucked out one day… found this article on New York Times:  http://travel.nytimes.com/travel/guides/europe/italy/rome/hotels.html.    I ended up using rentalinrome.com.  They have vacation apartments and homes for rent for every pocket book.  The service thus far has been spectacular.  I can’t wait to start my vacation and come back to you with my own pictures.

There’s something about today.  9/9/9… “it’s the mark of the divine” a friend says to me.  I feel a sense of adventure in the air.  And we spend time to re-connect.  In catching up… I learn about his upcoming trip to Argentina.  And why? I ask… why… and what.. brings you to … Argentina.

“To Tango”… he says!

As a matter of fact…he shares this….. as if he’s telling me the sky is blue.

I’m touched.  How profound.  To travel … to dance such a passionate dance with his tango partner.   To undulate… to the earthy dramatic musical tones… in Buenos Aires.

My friend – I wish you and your love light and love.  Tango your heart away!  Your vacation sounds just magical – and delicious!

I want to sway here!

Swaying up in the trees in a forest in Vancouver, you will find these orb-like structures that were born out of a kid’s dream in a new age mind.   The spheres are a marriage of sailboat and tree house technology.

Tom, the inventor, suspends Eve and Eryn (the two spheres) up among the trees on private land in Vancouver Island.  He chose to do so because he wanted to do something different, to “live in and among the trees and use them as a foundation” and to be “like a bird in a nest”.  Sleeping in sphere is like “floating in a canopy among the sleeping birds”.

There are two spheres.  Eve, small and petite is perfect for the individual traveler.  Eryn on the other hand is the larger of the two, has 5 windows, a well-appointed interior with galley, table/sitting area, double bed and loft bed, Eryn can sleep three.

The spheres hang on ropes and float in space.  In this space, Tom claims to feel a state of blissfull awareness of an existence outside the body.

I had an instant pull in my soul when I learned about this spheres.   And soon I hope to be climbing up the spiral staircase to bond with Eryn.
